Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised officials from the Federal Investigation Agency and Intelligence Bureau on Sunday for successfully apprehending Usman Jajja, the notorious leader of the Jajja gang, involved in human trafficking.
During a discussion with the officials in Islamabad, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to intensify operations against those involved in human trafficking. He highlighted that individuals engaged in this crime not only endanger lives but also harm the nation’s international reputation.
Recognizing their efforts, the Prime Minister awarded a cash prize of one million rupees to each official who contributed to the operation against the gang. The Jajja gang leader, Usman Jajja, played a significant role in the deaths of Pakistanis in the Greece boat accident last year.
On October 8, the Prime Minister received a detailed briefing on the ongoing efforts by the FIA and IB to combat human trafficking.
