In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the illegally detained leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has lauded Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s address at the UN General Assembly, describing it as a true reflection of Kashmiri sentiments.
According to a Kashmir Media Service report on Saturday, the incarcerated Chairman of APHC Masarrat Alam Butt, along with detained senior leaders Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan, issued messages from the notorious Tihar Jail in Delhi, emphasizing that the Prime Minister’s speech resonated profoundly with the emotions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. They noted that Pakistan has consistently raised the Kashmir issue on international platforms and is making significant political and diplomatic efforts to advocate for a swift resolution of the conflict.
The jailed leaders remarked that Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause has always been a source of encouragement for Kashmiris engaged in the struggle against illegal Indian occupation. They expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for representing Kashmiri sentiments on such a prominent global stage. They expressed optimism that Pakistan will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people until they achieve their cherished goal of freedom from India’s illegal occupation.
They urged the United Nations to take serious note of India’s unrealistic approach and obstinacy regarding the Kashmir dispute, calling for pressure on Indian leadership to resolve the matter in accordance with Security Council resolutions.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, the Convener of APHC-AJK, along with senior Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmad Sagar, General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Mir Tahir Masood, Altaf Hussain Wani, and others, also welcomed the Prime Minister’s speech, describing it as courageous and compelling. They stated that the Prime Minister effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue on the international stage, authentically representing the sentiments of the Kashmiri people. They expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s renewed and vigorous support for the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The APHC-AJK leaders acknowledged that despite facing numerous challenges, Pakistan has never wavered in its commitment to advocate for the Kashmiris’ legitimate rights. They emphasized that the Kashmiri people view Pakistan as their advocate, striving for a lasting and peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute. They pointed out that India’s obstinacy remains the primary obstacle to resolving the issue and urged the United Nations to apply pressure for the implementation of its resolutions.
