Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will represent Pakistan at the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), scheduled to be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on July 34, 2025.
Themed ‘New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Future,’ the summit will bring together leaders from ECO member states to discuss regional cooperation and development strategies, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office here on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister is set to highlight Pakistan’s perspective on pressing regional and global challenges. He will reaffirm Pakistan’s strong commitment to the ECO Vision 2025 and call for greater collaboration among member states in key areas such as intraregional trade, transport connectivity, energy cooperation, and sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the Summit, the Prime Minister will also engage in bilateral meetings with fellow ECO leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest and further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties.
