Pakistani authorities intercepted a massive drug shipment off the coast of Pasni, seizing narcotics worth an estimated $38 million in the international market, PN said today.
The Pakistan Navy, working in conjunction with the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and the Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Centre (JMICC), confiscated approximately 1,100 kilograms of hashish, 50 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and 100 kilograms of heroin.
The illegal cargo was reportedly being transported via the Arabian Sea, destined for international markets. The seized contraband has been transferred to the ANF for further investigation and legal action.
This significant interdiction underscores the Pakistan Navy”s commitment to combating illicit maritime activities. The naval force reiterated its dedication to maintaining order at sea and fulfilling its national duty to suppress drug trafficking. The operation is a testament to the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in disrupting transnational criminal networks.
