Two suspects involved in the fatal shooting of 24yearold Kamran Abbas during a robbery in GulshaniIqbal on May 14 have been apprehended in a police encounter in New Karachi Industrial Area.
The arrested individuals, identified as Sajjad alias Sajawal and Nadir, were captured in a firefight with police in the early hours on Thursday. Their identities were confirmed through CCTV footage and other evidence.
The suspects are accused of fatally shooting Kamran Abbas in the head during a robbery outside a Bank Islami branch in GulshaniIqbal. A murder case (FIR 302/2025) under sections 302, 397, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code has been registered at GulshaniIqbal Police Station.
Following their arrest, the suspects were found in possession of a motorcycle that had been snatched in GulistaniJauhar. A separate case (FIR 28/2025) under sections 397 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code has been filed at GulistaniJauhar Police Station regarding the motorcycle theft.
Both suspects are known criminals with a history of involvement in street crimes, including motorcycle thefts. Police officials have stated that further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend their accomplices.
