Police arrest City-wide drug dealer arrested, recover 66 kg hashish

KARACHI: The Baghdadi police arrested a drug dealer on Wednesday near DD Chaudhry Road Lee market while the accomplice of the accused managed to escape by throwing drugs at the spot.

 

According to police sources, a squad of Baghdadi police raided in Lee market and arrested a wanted drug dealer. The arrested accused has been identified as Anwar Ali.

 

The police officials said 44 kg and 400 gram hashish has been recovered from the possession of arrested accused while 21 kg 600 gram hashish was recovered from a bag threw by his accomplices who managed to escape.

 

The accused revealed in the preliminary investigation that he used to buy cannabis from fugitive accused Imran Pathan who used to bring drugs from Quetta and supply it to different areas of Karachi city. Fugitive accused Imran Pathan is wanted by the police and raids are being carried out at various places to nab him, the police officials said.

 

An FIR No. 369/2021 has been registered against the accused under Section 6 / 9C and the accused is being questioned about Imran Pathan and other accomplices and the previous criminal record of the accused is also being ascertained.
