Chhoor:In operation Umerkot against the kidnappers and robbers, Sindh police arrested five accused and recovered an abducted girl from their custody on Saturday.
The police encounter continued for more than two hours in the Noonhi village of Chhoor, a suburb area of Umerkot.
DSP Sajjan Singh, CIA in-charge Altaf Shah and SHO of Chhoor police station chased the robbers who were fleeing in a car after kidnapping a girl. But, the robber's car broke down and the police with the support of local residents surrounded the robber who continued their resistance with heavy exchange of fire for two hours.
After the encounter, the police arrested the notorious dacoit Abdul Rahman Rajar along with five accomplices.
The police said 40 serious cases have been registered against the arrested bandit Abdul Rehman Rajar in different police stations in Sindh.
The arrested robbers were transferred to the city police station and a case has been registered against them in the Chhoor police station.
