KARACHI:Lahore Police Wednesday arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a Capital TV journalist in front of the Lahore Press Club Shimla Pahari.

 

Husnain Shah was shot dead by two unidentified attackers on a motorbike who intercepted the journalist in his car and sprayed him with bullets. Lahore Police said that they were interrogating the suspects who are all shooters and they could be involved in the murder of the journalist.

 

Police arrested the three shooters with the help of CCTV footage. Police said the journalist was shot dead owing to some money dispute. Punjab Police claimed that they have reached near the mastermind of the murder. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and IGP took notice of the incident and sought a report from the concerned authorities.

 

The Lahore Press Club body staged a protest in front of the LPC and demanded police to arrest the culprits. Newly-elected Lahore Press Club President Azam Chaudhry said that it was a black day in the history of Lahore, as a journalist had been shot dead in front of the club and no one could do anything. Hasnain was a senior crime reporter at Capital TV channel and a council member of Lahore Press Club.
