An increase in incidents of violence was witnessed in the city, where four alleged robbers were killed as a result of several police encounters. Several robbers were arrested, two civilians were also injured in the exchange of fire.
The most serious incident took place at two locations in Korangi district. At Godam Chowrangi and A.B.M factory, three people, identified as Akram son of Akbar, Rahim son of Zaman, and Jameel son of Gul Mohammad, were killed in separate clashes between law enforcement officials and suspected criminals. Police seized three pistols, bullets, a motorcycle, cash, watches, and mobile phones. The deceased were shifted to a local hospital, and investigations are underway.
In addition, two suspects, Khalil Khan son of Habibullah and Faizan son of Muhammad Saleem, were arrested after an exchange of fire with police in Urdu Bazaar, Aram Bagh. Khalil Khan was injured. Authorities recovered two pistols, bullets, two mobile phones and cash. The injured accused has been admitted to the hospital, and investigations are ongoing.
Similarly, a civilian, Subhash Chand, was injured during an attempted robbery near Sea View. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Another civilian, Sakina, 30, was injured by a bullet in Orangi Town and is also being provided medical assistance.
In North Nazimabad, a suspect named Adil son of Amanur Rehman was arrested as a result of an encounter. His alleged accomplice, Sattar, escaped. Police recovered a pistol, bullets, and a stolen purse. The injured accused has been admitted to the hospital, and the search for the escaped accused is ongoing.
In Qayumabad, a suspect named Ishtiaq son of Gul Nazir was killed in an exchange of fire with police. His companion escaped. Law enforcement agencies recovered a pistol and a mobile phone. Investigations into this incident are also ongoing.
