SHAHDADPUR: On the order of a local court, police recovered 10 bonded laborers, including women and children, from the private jail of a landlord on Wednesday.
A police team, in compliance with the court order, raided a private jail of Wahid Bux Rind in village Mir Khan Rind and got released 10 bonded laborers including women and children.
The police produced released laborers before a Shahdadpur court where the farmers told it that the landlord used to keep them in bonded labor and did not pay them due labor cost. The court allowed them to pass a free life and directed the police to care for them if they are again harassed by the landlord.
