Larkana:Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Larkana Range, Irfan Ali Baloch, has taken notice of photos which went viral on social media in which a cop was holding an umbrella over the deputy commissioner of Shikarpur during his visit to the dykes.
DIGP Baloch ordered SSP Shikarpur to withdraw police security from the officer immediately as police could not be used for personal works. The DIGP further said that the moral of the police had gone down with this act and repetition of such attitudes would not be tolerated in future as well.
Meanwhile, members of civil society and social welfare organizations have demanded of the IGP Sindh to withdraw all police security from all those influential people who have been provided the same in sheer, open and daring violation of the apex court directions and cops have also been posted outside their houses which negates the spirits of rule of law.
