Lahore: Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar on Tuesday said that the conversation of an audio leak is very serious, the efforts of ignorant people are to bring institutions to face to face. Addressing a press conference with Malik Ahmed Khan in Lahore, Tarar said that political matters should not be taken to the court, the court should be careful in many cases.
Tarar said, “Nowadays there is an era of technology and hacking, today the audio of a senior lawyer and former Chief Justice came out, in the modern era of social media, the facts cannot be covered.”
He further said that efforts were being made to bring the court and parliament to the fore, and some people were trying to provoke political issues. “Controversial decisions of the past have caused a lot of damage, parliament has been given full power by the constitution, its implementation was stopped before the law was issued for the first time in the country.”
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Malik Ahmed Khan said that an audit of the former chief justice surfaced, and the Supreme Court should take notice of this audio.
Malik Ahmed Khan said that many questions were being raised from the audio leak released today, “It is becoming clear how parliamentary proceedings can be stopped.” It may be recalled that today a purported audio of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar and lawyer Khawaja Tariq Rahim has surfaced, in which the decision of the suo motu case is being discussed.
