PPP always supported democracy: Minister

Karachi, January 17, 2018 (PPI-OT):Sindh Minister for Information and Archives, Transport and Mass Transit, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Pakistan People’s Party has always supported democracy and endeavoured to strengthen it. He said that our party would never be supported to derail democracy and the senate and general elections would also be held on time.

Further, he said PPP Co-chairmen Asif Ali Zardari extended his support to the Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Tahir ul Qadri for the justice of victims of Model Town incident after the issuance of Justice Baqir Najfi inquiry Commission on the issue. This he said while talking to media person on the occasion of handing over cheque of Rs.25 Lacs as grant-in-aid to the president of Press Club Thatta Muhammad Usman Memon. PPP leaders Waqar Mehdi, Rashid Rabbani, President PPP district Thatta Sadiq Ali Memon, PPP district Information Secretary Syed Mehmood Alam Shah and others were also accompanied.

While responding a question to a journalist regarding non-confidence motion against CM Baluchistan, he said that PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had no role in changing the Baluchistan government, but now the new Chief Mister of Baluchistan has been elected by peaceful manner and the senate elections would be held on its due time. He said the peace has been restored throughout the Sindh province including Karachi and due to the strict actions of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah the street crime activities has been also decreased in the Karachi city.

He said that Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah had taken the notice of slow pace of development schemes carried out in Thatta district and very soon ongoing schemes would be completed in the district so that people would be benefited. While responding to a question regarding the absence of officers in Thatta district, he assured that he would talk to Chief Minster Sindh regarding the poor attendance of officers of various departments in the district and also ask him for taking strict actions against absent officers and staff. Meanwhile, the president of Press Club Thatta Muhammad Usman Memon, general secretary Abdul Wahab Shaikh and others also presented gifts of Sindhi Topi and Ajraks to Provincial Minster and also thanked him for handing cheque in respect of over grant-in-aid.
