Nisar Yadgar Sarangzai, a provincial leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), today demanded judicial probe into Quetta Safe City Project scam.

In a statement, Sarangzai revealed that Rs7 billion were allocated to the firm for installing surveillance cameras across Quetta. He also urged authorities to blacklist the firm responsible for installing substandard cameras under the project.

“Many of these cameras are reportedly non-functional.” He emphasized that the project aimed to enhance crime control in the city, but its failure to deliver has left the goal unachieved.

The PPP leader demanded a high-level inquiry to uncover the mismanagement and financial irregularities, stressing that such negligence in a vital public safety project cannot go unchecked.
