ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has approved to confer Tamgha-e-Imtiaz posthumously to three Chinese teachers killed in a terrorist attack in Karachi on 26th April.
The award has been conferred in recognition of their services for strengthening Pakistan-China relations and promotion of relations in the field of education and culture.
At least four people, including three Chinese nationals, were killed while four others were injured in a suicide attack outside the University of Karachi’s (KU) Confucius Institute on April 26.
The incident had happened as a van, carrying staff members, was about to enter the Confucius Institute, located next to the commerce department.
