Islamabad:President Dr Arif Alvi has urged the federal and provincial governments to work in close collaboration to provide relief to the flood affected people of Sindh province.
He was addressing a ceremony in connection with distribution of ration amongst the flood affected people in Sanghar district on Saturday.
The President said it is also the desire of Prime Minister Imran Khan to work collectively to address the problems of the people of Sindh province.
He assured that the flood affected people will not be left alone in this hour of trial and they will be fully supported. No area of Sindh province will be neglected whilst provision of relief.
He appreciated the efforts of the Governor Sindh in the ongoing relief efforts. He said the way Pakistani government and people successfully tackled the problem of Coronavirus has become an example for the world.
The President said the policy of smart lockdown helped protect the lives and livelihoods. He said Pakistan is the most successful country in the world which tackled the Covid-19.
He said under Ehsaas program, cash assistance of twelve thousand rupees was provided to millions of deserving families in the most transparent manner and without any discrimination.
