President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has stated that establishing peace in South Asia is dependent on the resolution of the Kashmir issue. He mentioned that if the Kashmir issue remains unresolved, the possibility of war between Pakistan and India cannot be ignored. He termed trilateral talks as the only path to resolving the Kashmir issue.

President Chaudhry highlighted the Kashmir issue as the focal point of global attention in light of the recent conflict. He noted that the United States, Europe, and other countries are pressuring India to resolve the Kashmir issue, which is being seen as a significant achievement. He welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate and expressed that President Trump could be instrumental in resolving the Kashmir conflict.

While praising the Pakistan Army, President Chaudhry stated that they have responded robustly to India’s military aggression. He expressed these views during a luncheon in Tarar Khal, attended by various political leaders and dignitaries.

President Chaudhry commended the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs, saying that their sacrifices have once again brought the Kashmir issue to prominence on the global stage. He appealed to the government to address the issues faced by citizens living along the Line of Control, stating that these citizens are joining the Pakistan Army in confronting Indian aggression and that resolving their difficulties is essential.
