President Asif Ali Zardari today paid special tribute to the foundational contributions of Polish engineers, pilots, and technicians in establishing the Pakistan Air Force, highlighting their role as a lasting symbol of the bond between the two nations while felicitating Poland on its 107th Independence Day.

In his message, the President conveyed warm congratulations to the people of the Republic of Poland on their national celebration. He underscored that the friendship between Pakistan and Poland, initiated with the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962, has consistently been bolstered through a foundation of mutual respect and ongoing cooperation.

President Zardari noted that the bilateral partnership has broadened significantly over the years, now encompassing political dialogue, trade, investment, defence, education, and cultural exchange.

The President reiterated the importance of the early assistance provided by Polish personnel, describing their pivotal contribution to the nation”s air defence as an enduring emblem of the ties shared between Pakistan and Poland.
