Islamabad, July 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Chief Secretaries for fixation of suitable prices of essential daily use items and ensuring their implementation. Chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review prices of essential commodities, he also directed for early finalization of legislation over the data sharing of necessary daily use items. The meeting decided to reverse the sales tax to the ex-mill rate till 30th of November this year, in order to ensure reasonable reduction in sugar price. It was also decided that ministries of Industries and Finance would review the future requirement of sugar and its import.
