Islamabad, January 14, 2021 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan has emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and energy cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Talking to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who called on him in Islamabad today (Thursday), the Prime Minister extended sincere felicitations on Azerbaijan’s recent success in liberation of its occupied territories. On Azerbaijan’s call for support in reconstruction and development of liberated territories, the Prime Minister assured him of all possible assistance from Pakistan.
Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed cordial greetings of President Ilhan Aliyev to Prime Minister Imran Khan. He also expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s consistent support and solidarity on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Earlier, the Azeri Foreign Minister also called on President Dr Arif Alvi. Talking to him President underlined the need to enhance cultural and commercial ties between the two countries.
