Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon make big announcement for South Punjab: CM Punjab

Lahore, November 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): Barthi and its adjoining areas have been electrified after 71 years and Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated electricity supply project. First time in the history of Pakistan, funds of billions of rupees for development of tribal areas and the up-gradation of Takht-e-Sulaiman to revenue tehsil have been announced. Five small dams, land record centres, NADRA centres, passport office and branches of the Bank of Punjab will also be set up.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar also laid foundation stone 60-bed THQ, Rescue 1122 centre and 46-km long road from Fazla Kach and Sar Thook to Theekar, and 23 km road from Kharrar Buzdar to Hangloon, and their total cost is one billion, 7 crore and 27 lakhs. The chief minister also inaugurated the mobile veterinary clinic van. Talking to the participants sitting with them on the ground, the chief minister said the time has come to end deprivations of poor areas. He said we will provide mobile health units and four ambulances for the tribal areas.

The 4*4 ambulances service is being started in tribal areas to take women to hospitals in time. For four health centres of mother and child, 24 hours service is being started. He said private university of Lahore has allocated one seat in every department for the students of tribal and poor area for free education. The quota for tribal students in engineering, medical and other universities is being increased. Four bulldozers are being provided to clear roads in tribal areas. A special water scheme is being started for the provision of clean drinking water.

Machine will be provided for boring to install hand pumps in tribal and hilly areas. Roads of length 171 km will be constructed at the cost of the two billion and 35 crore rupees in tribal areas. A request has been sent to the federal government to construct the Taunsa to Musakhel road. Small farmers in tribal areas will be provided loans. The chief minister announced increasing the hill allowance for employees from Rs.500 to Rs.1000. He said transfer of schools to solar energy and the restoration of Masjid and Maktab school will implemented soon.

He said the areas of Kohe Suleman will be included in the tourism belt. Five small dams will be constructed to irrigate one lakh and 75 thousand acre of the land. A cricket academy will set up with the cooperation of the PCB. Transferring the Rural Health Centre of Barthi to 60-bed hospital is my dream which is materialising.

He said he is thankful to the people of his area as he has become the chief minster due to their prayers and now I work for 18 hours to serve the people. He said his area has been electrified after 71 years. Other areas of DG Khan will also be provided electricity. Earlier the chief minister was given warm welcome on reaching Barthi. A large number of notables and elders of areas were present on the occasion.
