Quetta:A special committee has been constituted to probe into the incident of alleged maltreatment and beating of Young Doctors and Paramedics who were protesting for their demands on April 6, 2020 at Zarghoon Road (Red Zone), Quetta.
The committee comprises Senior Superintendent of Police Operations, Quetta, Representative of Young Doctors Association, Representative of Balochistan Constabulary not below the rank of SP and a representative of DC, Quetta not below rank of AC shall submit its detailed report to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Quetta within 5-days for further course of action.
A handout issued by the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Quetta mentions Terms of Reference of the subject committee; (a) The committee shall hold meetings on daily basis (2) To inquire into the circumstances leading to the clash between police and YDA (c) To scrutinize all available videos and other materials to ascertain misuse of force, if any (c) To fix responsibility.
