Prof Kamal Jamro passes away due to dengue fever

KARACHI:Head of Sindhi Department, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Prof Dr Kamal Jamro, passed away due to dengue fever in Karachi on Wednesday.

 

Additional Medical Superintendent, Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, Dr Ismail Memon, confirmed the death of Prof Dr Jamro due to the dengue fever. He was brought to the hospital a couple of days ago with fever and admitted to Surgical Intensive Care Unit where he died.

 

Prof Dr Jamro was an eminent writer of Sindhi literature and he translated several books.

 

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the the death of eminent Sindhi writer Prof Dr Kamal Jamro.

 

In a statement issued today, the chief minister said the services of Dr Kamal Jamro for Sindhi literature would be remembered for long time.

 

He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss.
