Islamabad, September 05, 2020 (PPI-OT): Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi has said that Provincial Coordination and Implementation Committee for Karachi Transformation Plan has been formed with representation from Federal, Provincial government and Pakistan Army. In a tweet today (Saturday), he said this committee will closely monitor projects and progress and work on projects to start immediately and finish within three years.
He said projects totalling 1.113 Trillion rupees will game changer for Karachi and will be jointly funded by Federal and provincial governments. He said 572 billion rupees have been allocated for Karachi Circular Railway and Roads, 267 rupees for Solid waste, drains clearance and resettlement, 141 billion rupees for Sewage treatment, 92 billion rupees for water supply projects while 41 billion rupees will be spent for Roads.
