The victim relatives on Sunday said their symbolic hunger strike had been continuing for the last three days outside Lasbella Press Club against the alleged enforced disappearance of five Baloch youth but neither Deputy Commissioner of the district nor did any other authority bothered to pay a visit to the camp.

Announcing to end the symbolic hunger strike camp, they said if the missing person were not recovered within 10 days, protest movement would be launched again after the expiry of deadline.

Carrying banners and holding placards inscribed with slogans in support of their demands, the relatives took out a rally and chanted slogans for the recovery of alleged missing persons Chakar Baloch, Junaid Hameed, Yasir Hameed, Islam Baloch and Shabir Ahmed. The protesters marched through different roads and reached outside the Lasbela Press Club where they assembled.

Talking to media, Mazaib Baloch, district leader of Baloch Yekjehti Committee Lasbella, and Seema Baloch, sister of of alleged missing person Shabir Baloch, said, ‘We are going to call off the protest with 10 day ultimatum to the government to ensure the recovery of the five missing persons.’

They said if the recovery of missing persons was not ensured, they would launch protest movement. They said if the missing persons had committed any crime, they should be produced before the court of law for taking legal action against them.
