Protest demons held across Sindh against Bahria Town

KARACHI: On the call of the Sindh Action Committee (SAC), an alliance of nationalist political parties, protest demonstrations were held across Sindh against alleged illegal construction of Bahria Town Karachi and registration of bogus First Information Reports (FIRs) against SAC leaders.

In Karachi, a large number of political activists of different political parties held protest demonstration under the banner of SAC against alleged occupations of lands by BTK. The protestors carrying placards chanted slogans against Bahria Town, its Chairman Riaz Malik, and former president Asif Ali Zardari. The protest was attended by lawyers, students, and human rights activists.

The protest demonstration and rallies were also held in Hyderabad, Sakrand, Nawabshah, Sann, Thatta, Badin, Larkana, Faiz Ganj, Mirpurkhas, Tando Adam, and other areas of Sindh.

The SAC leaders, including, Sayed Jalal Mehmood Shah, Riaz Chandio, Sayed Zain Shah, Qadir Magsi, and others have warned to give tough time to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for allowing illegal occupation of lands, exploitation of natural resources, and crackdown against nationalist leadership.
