Protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club

QUETTA:All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Action Committee, Health Department, called on authorities to take action against doctors involved in torturing members of All Pakistan Clerks Association, PGMI unit Quetta.

This demand was made in a protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club here on Saturday under the aegis of APCA Action Committee, Health Department. Addressing the protest demonstration, Abdullah Safi, Chairman, APCA Action Committee, Health Department said that on March 1, 2021, officials of PGMI were performing their routine official duties when they were attacked and tortured by doctors.

He added that the attackers also caused damage to government property including computers, furnitures and buildings. He said that instead of tendering apology over the incident, doctors started intimidating the employees of PGMI by using the name of Young Doctors Association.

He urged authorities to take strict action against doctors involved in torturing members of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Quetta and causing damage to the government property. Chanting slogans against young doctors, protesters dispersed peacefully.
