LARKANA: Relatives of victim Dilbar Oad held a protest demonstration by keeping his body on SSP Chowk here on Saturday, demanding arrest of his killers.
His brothers Mashooque, Manthar Oad and others complained before media persons that their brother was looted of Rs30,000 cash on 20th January 2021 in the morning by two armed motorcyclists but he resisted their move and they fired at him due to which he was injured.
They said the injured was shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi, where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday. They said they provided motorcycles of the criminals to the police but neither case was registered nor accused were arrested which was highhandedness of the police authorities for which they should be probed thoroughly.
The protesters also tried to hold a protest demo in front of the residence of the Chief Justice, Sindh High Court, here but they were prevented by ASP City Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry and DSP Civil Lines Miran Durrani.
They persuaded the protesters and assured them that a case will be registered, the accused will be arrested and justice will be done. After which they took the body home for final rites. It must be mentioned here that incidents of thefts, motorcycle snatching and bike theft have increased manifold across the district without control by the Larkana police.
