Provincial-federal govts failed to provide relief: Baloch

QUETTA: Central leader of National Party and former Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has said that provincial and federal governments had miserably failed to provide relief to the people of Balochistan.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Baloch said that power crises in the Mekran area of Balochistan had added to the miseries of people, adding that 14-18 hours-power- load shedding had paralyzed routine life, affecting all sectors of life.

He said that the condition of the novel coronavirus affected people and hospitals was very pathetic due to unannounced power load shedding in Mekran. He said that businesses of the people had been ruined. He said that incompetency of the government and stubbornness of QESCO’s authorities had added to the miseries of people already entangled in the quagmire of inflation and unemployment.

He said that people of Mekran, Turbat, Gwadar and Panjgur would be compelled to wage struggle against incompetent government and QESCO’s authorities. He added that the authorities of QESCO ought to have adopted sincere behavior to address the problems of people instead of victimizing them, adding that steps taken against the people be avoided otherwise political parties would expand their struggle.
