In the ready market, 218 companies saw their stock prices dip, overshadowing the 188 companies that recorded gains. The future market exhibited a similar pattern, with 202 companies in the red compared to 128 that advanced.

Turnover for the regular market stood at an impressive 420.5 million shares, valued at approximately 23.7 billion PKR, marking an increase from the previous session’s figures. The top player in terms of turnover was Sui South Gas, which saw over 54 million shares change hands despite its closing rate dropping to 36.08 PKR.

Notably, PIA Holding Company LimitedB and Hoechst Pakistan Limited recorded significant rate increases, closing at 5,811.59 PKR and 3,294.41 PKR, respectively. Conversely, Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited and Nestle Pakistan Limited faced substantial declines, with their rates decreasing by 184.26 PKR and 172.36 PKR, respectively.
