KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Saturday that the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) goons tried to climb over the walls and gates of Supreme Court (SC)Lahore Registry last night which was equal to attack SC.
They expressed these views while addressing a joint press conference at Freire Hall. They condemned PTI workers act and demanded of the apex court to take suo moto action on the matter. They added that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) believed that the full court should be constituted for hearing the petition on ruling of deputy speaker Punjab Assembly.
They were of the view that PTI and its chief were using tactics to pressurize the superior judiciary only to take decisions in their favor. Mr Memon said that law is equal for every citizen, and no one is above the law. He added that PPP strongly demanded that the full court be constituted on the petition pertaining to the deputy speaker ruling.
He said that the PTI goons tried to climbed up the walls and gates of Supreme Court Lahore Registry at night which was equal to attack the apex court of the country. He said that the PTI chief was spreading hatred and incitement in the whole country. The SC should take cognizance of this matter, he appealed. He blamed that aim of Imran Khan was to keep the courts, election commission and the establishment under pressure so that he could take his desired decision. Mr Memon said that the foreign funding case wan an important case.
In response to a question, he said that Imran Khan was Bal Thackeray and PTI was Shiv Sena as Imran Khan had been targeting all institutions. He said that when the coalition government came into power, no one was targeted on the basis of political revenge. But now it’s high time for the federal and provincial governments to give shut up call to those goons of PTI who were busy in running the campaigns against the institutions and their heads.
