PTI, PPP activists clash in Garhi Khuda Bux

LARKANA: PTI and PPP activists clashed in Garhi Khuda Bux when Senator Saifullah Abro arrived at Garhi Khuda Bux to address a public meeting on Sunday evening. Senator Abro alleged that his caravan was attacked with eggs, lathis and tomatoes by the PPP activists led by Aijaz Laghari and others.

After the incident, Senator Abro along with his activists reached Naundero police station to lodge an FIR against the accused PPP Larkana district general secretary Aijaz Laghari, Ghulam Mustafa Laghari and others involved in the attack on his activists but police refused to register the case.

After that he, including his supporters staged a sit-in outside Naundero police station where he told newsmen that two months ago PPP held a meeting at his village and no hindrance was created. Khursheed Junejo and Aijaz Laghari addressed the jalsa, he added. He said today on the invitation of Raees Khalid Ahmed Khan Laghari who had arranged a public meeting at Garhi Khuda Bux he came from Ratodero leading a caravan of his workers. He said when we reached Garhi Khuda Bux supporters of PPP attacked us with eggs, tomatoes and cudgels and hit our vehicles which had been damaged.

They said throughout the day they also ransacked jalsa gah and I kept on informing SSP but he did nothing to prevent them. He said he will not move till a case is registered against the PPP’s so-called local leaders. He said Mustafa Laghari is a son of Bhutto’s servant late Nazar Muhammad Laghari but he is a leader for today’s PPP.

Senator Abro said that since morning he has been informing SSP Imran Qureshi about the public meeting but he ignored everything adding SSP is the Kamdar of the PPP. He said all the accused be arrested immediately after FIR is registered against them and SSP must also be replaced. The sit-in was continuing till the filing of this report. Meanwhile, PTI leader Haleem Adil Shaikh has strongly condemned the attack on Senator Saifullah Abro by what he called goons of the PPP.
