Pakistan TehreekeInsaf (PTI) today pledged to pursue all legal avenues to secure the release of its chairman, Imran Khan, and other party members currently detained.
In a statement disseminated on X (formerly Twitter), yhe party also announced its disatisfaction over the Supreme Court’s decision regarding reserved seats, vowing to utilize constitutional and democratic processes to protect its rights.
The PTI denounced the solitary confinement of Khan and the restrictions placed on his access to legal counsel and political allies. The party also voiced apprehensions about fatalities reported following the discharge of other detainees. The PTI reiterated its call for Khan”s release and the liberation of its incarcerated members.
The party confirmed its commitment to pursuing various forms of constitutional, political, and legal action under Khan”s leadership to uphold the rule of law and constitutional principles in Pakistan. These actions encompass public demonstrations, peaceful protests, and negotiations. The PTI affirmed its unity and resolve under Khan’s guidance and expressed awareness of alleged conspiracies by its political adversaries.
The party’s parliamentary gathering also raised concerns about purported government pressure on the judiciary. The PTI urged the judicial system to maintain its independence, uphold merit, and ensure justice. Finally, the meeting recognized the sacrifices made by party members, leaders, and parliamentarians in their legal and constitutional struggle.
