HANGU:Amid worst political weakness at national and provincial level, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sunday won the bye-polls in National Assembly NA-33 Hangu constituency.
According to the unofficial results, the by-elections were held in NA-33 after the seat fell vacant with the death of MNA Khayal Zaman. In the unofficial results of all 210 polling stations in Hangu constituency NA-33, the PTI candidate Nadeem Khayal obtained total 21,583 votes against Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s party, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).
The JUI’s candidate Mufti Ubaidullah bagged 17,153 votes. The Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Saeed Umar is also in competition with 3,800 votes for the third position. In the by-polls, turnout was low but the election process continued in a peaceful atmosphere.
