Punjab Chief Minister reviews law and order situation in the province

Lahore, November 01, 2018 (PPI-OT): A high-level meeting was held with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the chair at CM Office here today to review law and order situation in the provincial metropolis and other parts of the province. It pondered over different steps to improve the law and order situation. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister made it clear the protection of life and property of the citizens is the prime responsibility of the State and reiterated that this responsibility will be performed as an important obligation.

No one can be allowed to disrupt the daily life of the citizens, he added. He directed that every possible step should be taken to keep the smooth flow of life and there should be no hindrance in this regard. Government is cognizant of the troubles faced by the general public due to closure of traffic; therefore, immediate steps should be taken for alternate routes and citizens should also be informed about it so that their troubles could be minimized.

Implementation of law will be ensured at every cost and it will come into action in case of any violation, he said. Pakistan belongs to all of us and we will take every possible step to protect the life and property of the people along with ensuring maintenance of peace in the society. The Chief Minister was given briefing about general law and order situation and the flow of traffic in the province. Provincial law minister Raja Basharat, chief secretary, IG police, ACS (Home) and high officials attended the meeting.
