Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi today to inquire about the health of security personnel who were injured during the protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
During her visit, the Chief Minister expressed strong condemnation of the violence directed at the security forces. She emphasized that those responsible for attacking the security personnel would face strict legal action and would be awarded exemplary punishment.
Maryam praised the bravery and professionalism of the injured officers, referring to them as “sons of soil” and “the pride of the nation.” She recognized the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army and other security agencies in preserving peace and stability in the country.
Furthermore, she criticized PTI for resorting to violence as a means of hindering Pakistan’s development and progress. The Chief Minister reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that the rule of law prevails and that those who undermine national stability will be held accountable.
