Punjab CTD claims arresting three TTP terrorists from Lahore, Multan

Islamabad: The Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested two terrorists belonging to proscribed organization Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Multan, while another was detained from the border area of Lahore, according to a report on Thursday.

According to CTD officials, terrorists were identified as Ehsan and Osama and explosives, arms, hand grenades were recovered from their possession.

The apprehended terrorists were also booked in nine other cases and the law-enforcement agency officials launched investigation into the matter.

The CTD statement highlighted that combing operation was intensified in Lodhran, Okara, and Lahore on the directives of IG Punjab which resulted in the arrest of 13 suspects and recovery of weapons.

During these combing operations, 628 persons were biometrically verified, meanwhile, 1,906 suspects were interrogated.
