Punjab Govt issues tenders for 41km long roads worth of 660m in Ahmed Pur East

Ahmed Pur East: Punjab government has issued the tenders for the construction of eight 41 kilometers long roads in PP-253 Ahmed Pur East which would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 660 million.

This was stated by PTI MPA Sahibzada Muhammad Gazain Abbasi while talking to this scribe here on Monday. He informed that Director Bridges Punjab along with his team visited the proposed site of the flyover on railway gate Islamapura, Ahmedpur East for which Rs 770 million have been allocated on his request.

Sahibzada Muhammad Gazain Abbasi further stated that Director Bridges Punjab will make the design of the proposed flyover with a shot span of time. PTI MPA thanked Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar for the allocation of funds for the uplift of his constituency. He paid tributes to both Premier Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar for allocation of 34 percent development budget of the Punjab province for South Punjab.

Gazain Abbasi regretted that South Punjab’s funds were spent on other cities and the people of south Punjab were deceived in the name of development in the previous PM (N) government. Not only south Punjab was kept backward but people were also deceived through misleading figures, he continued. In the past, the overall utilization of development funds in south Punjab was not more than 17 per cent but the PTI government has allotted more than 34 per cent budget for south Punjab to ensure composite development, he maintained.

The PTI has also ring-fenced south Punjab’s development budget to ensure the welfare of the people of remote areas. The days of backwardness of south Punjab are over and the whole country will be made prosperous under the dynamic leadership of PM Imran Khan, concluded the MPA.
