The provincial disaster management authorities (PDMA) of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today issued warnings regarding a new spell of rains expected across various parts of the provinces from today until next Sunday.

In light of the forecast, all commissioners and deputy commissioners have been directed to remain on high alert. Relevant departments have also been instructed to prepare for potential disruptions and ensure swift restoration of road links in case of landslides.

Authorities have specifically advised tourists to avoid visiting hilly areas during this period due to possible safety risks.
