QUETTA: Residents of Pushtunabad, a densely populated area of Quetta city, would stage a protest sit-in and hunger strike camp in front of the office of Sui Southern Gas Company limited, Quetta if gas pressure issue in Pushtunabad, particularly in Qaiser Colony, was not resolved immediately.
This was stated by the office bearers of Qaiser Colony Alaqai Ittehad, Pushtunabad, Habibat Khan, Yousaf Khan, Sardarzada Abdul Mateen Khan and others while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Sunday.
They said that in that chilly weather, gas supply remained suspended in different areas of Pushtunabad, including Qaisir Colony, Abdul Quddus Road, Khair Muhammad Road, Usman Bagh, Akhtar Muhammad Jamia Masjid near Moulana Niaz Muhammad Durrani Madrassa area. They said the holy month of Ramazan was about to start and if gas outages continued in Pushtunabad and its adjoining areas continued, it would add to the miseries of the people of Pushtunabad.
Demanding Chief Justice Balochistan High Court, Chief Minister Balochistan and authorities of Sui Southern Gas Company limited, Quetta to take notice of the issue, they said if gas load shedding issue was not resolved, residents of Pushtunabad under the auspices of Qaiser Colony Ittehad would stage a protest sit-in and hunger strike camp in front of the office of Sui Southern Gas Company limited, Quetta.
