QUETTA:  District administration Quetta on Saturday launched crackdown against encroachments and a drive to shift showrooms of vehicles outside of city.

 

Several showrooms of vehicles were sealed and illegal structures demolished during the drive. According to detail, staff of district administration, Quetta headed by Assistant Commissioner, City, Muhammad Ali Durrani sealed different showrooms of vehicles at Yet Road, Quetta and other areas of the city during an operation launched to shift showrooms of vehicles outside of Quetta city.

 

Several illegal structures were also demolished during the drive launched against illegal encroachments. Talking to media, including PPI, Assistant Commissioner, City, Muhammad Ali Durrani said that action against illegal encroachments would be taken without any discrimination adding that to ease traffic congestion in the city, all showrooms of vehicles established in different areas of Quetta city would be shifted out of city.

 

Underlining the need for addressing the problems pertaining to traffic issues in the city, he urged owners of showrooms to extend cooperation to district administration otherwise, he added that showrooms would not only be sealed but fines would also be imposed on the spot on the owners of showrooms.
