Quetta traders warn of sit-in

Quetta:Office bearers of Anjuman-e-Tajiran announced to observe a protest sit-in on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the main highway of the city in support of their demands.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here, Rahim Agha, President, Anjuman-e-Tajiran Balochistan and President All Balochistan Restaurant and Hotel Association said one high ranking police officer of the province was not allowing businessmen and traders of the province to earn their livelihood.

They added that the lockdown enforced in the wake of the outbreak of novel corona virus affected business of restaurants, marriage halls and hotels, but government did not materialize promise of special package it had announced for the workers of restaurants, marriage halls and hotels.

They demanded of the authorities to grant them permission for running business as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). If their demands were not entertained, Anjuman-e-Tajiran Balochistan would devise future course of action in the protest sit-in to be observed on July 13 which would include shutter down and blocking main highways of the province, they said.
