Students and faculty of Dow University of Health Sciences organized rallies here today to strongly condemn the recent terrorist attack by the Balochistan Liberation Army on the Jaffar Express and to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces. The rallies were held at both campuses of Dow University, Dow Medical College, and Ojha Campus.
The rally at Dow Medical College was led by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Nazli Hussain, while at Ojha Campus, it was guided by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Jehan Ara Hassan. Principal Professor Saba Sohail and Vice Principal Dr. Shumaila Khalid were present at the DMC rally, while Professor Ramla Naz and Professor Sumbal Shameem participated at the Ojha Campus.
During the rally, participants continuously chanted slogans such as “Long live Pakistan” and “Down with terrorism.” Addressing the rally at DMC, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Nazli Hussain stated that targeting innocent civilians is an act against humanity that harms the country’s peace and stability.
She praised the courage of the people of Balochistan and offered condolences to the affected families. At Ojha Campus, Professor Jehan Ara condemned all forms of terrorism. Participants carried various placards with slogans like “Long live Pakistan” and “We stand with the defenders of Pakistan.”
The students stated that our military has bravely confronted the enemies, and we stand with our army at all times. They expressed their commitment to a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan. Participants remarked that our armed forces are the pride of our nation.
