Rawalakot has potential to become tourists HUB: Masood Khan

Islamabad, December 14, 2020 (PPI-OT): The AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has said that the state government is working for the promotion of tourism and improvement of the basic infrastructure under a well-planned strategy.

Talking to a delegation which called on him here on Sunday under the leadership of the PML-N Rawalakot constituency- V President Sardar Ashiq, he said that construction of infrastructure and provision of healthcare and educational facilities, as well as potable drinking water, are on the top priorities of the government.

He said that roads and highways not only connect areas but also make the journey of development and prosperity easy and short.

The AJK president said that Datot, Pachiot, Barota, Thorar, Kherian, Bheri, Horna Mera and other suburbs of Rawalakot because of the natural beauty and moderate weather may attract tourists, which will ultimately bring a socio-economic change in the area. He maintained that he was fully aware of the public problems of Rawalakot particularly constituency V, and efforts are being made to resolve them through the concerned government departments.

The state president assured the delegation that steps will be taken on priority basis for the widening of Barota-Datut Road, up-gradation of the Government High School Horna Mira to the intermediate college level, and the resolution of other problems.

Sardar Masood Khan appreciated the PML-N leader Sardar Ashiq, Sardar Aziz and Sardaer Tauseef Aziz for their services in the social sector.

Meanwhile, the AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has expressed a deep sense of grief and sorrow over the death of prominent political and social figure Haji Muhammad Aziz of Gharbi Bagh and also condoled the demise of Malik Feroz Din, the father of Information Department employee Shabbir Malik, and expressed sympathy with the aggrieved families.

He telephoned late Haji Aziz’s son Abdul Wahab Abbasi and Malik Feroz Din’s son Shabbir Malik, to convey his sentiments and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace.
