Reception for the former karate champion by Japanese Consul General

Karachi, March 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Consul-General of Japan in Karachi, Mr. Toshikazu Isomura, hosted a reception for Mr. Katsutoshi Shiina, a former karate champion, at his residence. The members of Sindh Olympic Association and Pakistan Japan Cultural Association and other distinguished guests were also present at the reception.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Toshikazu Isomura, Consul-General of Japan in Karachi, stated that Mr. Shiina’s guidance will help young Pakistani karate players enhance their skills and promote karate in Pakistan. Mr. Shiina, 7th Dan [The levels are divided into “Kyu” and “Dan”, and the levels start from Kyu (10 to 1) to Dan (1 to 10)], stated that he is happy to be back in Pakistan again and hoped that the Pakistani players keep up their work and dedication to karate and understand the rich Japanese culture through sports.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tariq Ali, member of Japan Karate Association emphasized that further cooperation between Pakistan and Japan in sports sector will help improve the standard of sports in Pakistan and strengthen the ties between the two countries.
