LARKANA: Development through Empowerment for Sustainable Solutions Initiative (DESSI) International, a UN ECOSOC accredited civil society organization based at Larkana that focuses on empowerment and dignified well-being of rural women, marginalized and vulnerable communities through Rilli Applique Arts and TVET.
Bhanbho Khan Chandio (Chairman, Union Council Misri Khan Chandio), Imtiaz Ahmed (Executive Director, DESSI International) and Vinod Gul Moni (Team Member, DESSI International) distributed thirty-two dry Ration Bags among locally identified rain flood victims at field office of DESSI International at Village Sardar Bhanbho Khan Chandio, taluka Miro Khan, district Kamber Shahdadkot.
Hannan (Chairperson, DESSI International), Aimen Imtiaz (Team Manager, DESSI International) and Tahira Begum (Executive Member, DESSI International) also distributed clothes (made by NAVTTC and BBSHRRDB trainees during their free skills development programs at DESSI International) along with other dresses and food items among rain flood victims at vicinities of Nazar Muhalla, Murad Wahan Muhalla and Bait-ul-Mal colony at Larkana.
DESSI International called on the federal and provincial governments, donor agencies, INGOs, and international organizations to immediately intervene and provide shelters, medicines, food items and NFIs to the rain flood affected people of Larkana and Kamber Shahdadkot districts.
