Religious parties stage rally in Shikarpur against Mach incident

Shikarpur:Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) with the support of other Shia organizations took out a rally and staged a sit-in at its camp near Jail Chowrangi Shikarpur on Thursday in protest against killing of 11 coal miners in Mach some days back.

A large number of citizens and religious organizations, including Imamia Students Organization, Asgharia Organization, Shuhada Committee, Payam-e-Wilayat, Shia Ulma Council and others, participated in the rally and sit-in protest while taking placards and banners in their hands. They were raising slogans for provision of justice to the victim families.

They threatened that they would continue their protest and will never leave protest camp till the Prime Minister Imran Khan holds dialogue with the victim families.

The vehicular traffic was badly affected due to the rally and the sit-in camp arranged at main entrance and exit points of Shikarpur near Jail Chowrangi Shikarpur. The protesters strongly condemned the Mach incident and demanded immediate justice to the victim families.
