Rich tributes paid to martyr Ghulam Rasool Dar

Srinagar, January 16, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to pro-freedom leader, Ghulam Rasool Dar on his 15th martyrdom anniversary. The illegally detained Chairman of Islami tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Smad Inqilabi in his statement issued in Srinagar said, martyr Ghulam Rasool Dar was a selfless leader, who devoted his life for the Kashmir cause.

Imam and Khateeb of Jamia Majid Shahi Hamdan Shaib Kunzer Tangmarg, Maulana Parray Hassan Firdousi while paying tributes to Ghulam Rasool Dar said he was a great sympathizer of the freedom movement.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir salvation Movement (JKSM), Zafar Akbar Butt while remembering the martyr said, “He was a noble soul who always stood for the birth right of Kashmiris”. He said that for taking the mission of Kashmiri martyrs to the logical conclusion, the people need to remain steadfast and show their complete commitment towards the freedom movement. He welcomed the release of Hurriyat leaders Mushtaqul Islam and Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori.

A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League led by Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi visited the residence of Hurriyat leader Mushtaqul Islam in Srinagar, today. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement said Kashmir is a political issue and its solution lies in political engagement. He deplored the military approach adopted by India to handle the Kashmir dispute.

Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza today visited the residence of martyr, Zeenatul Islam in Sugan, Shopian and expressed sympathy with his family. A delegation of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami led by Gulshan Abbas also visited the bereaved family of Zeenatul Islam in Shopian.

On the other hand, Kashmir Freedom Front Chairman Syed Bashir Andrabi has recently undergone multiple hospital admissions and surgical procedures for diabetic foot and diabetic retinopathyand vitreous haemorrhage in a Srinagar hospital. APHC chairman, Syed Ali Gilani and APHC-AJK Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani prayed for his early recovery.
