The Pakistan Meteorological Department announced that continental air is prevailing across much of the country, leading to a gradual rise in day temperatures in the plains starting today.
This weather pattern is expected to result in dry conditions across most regions, with hot daytime temperatures particularly affecting the plains. The past 24 hours have seen dry conditions throughout the nation, with the lowest recorded temperatures in Leh at -07°C, Astore and Skardu at -01°C, and Ziarat at 0°C.
The forecast for Sunday points to dry weather continuing in Islamabad, Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Sindh will experience hot and dry conditions, while Gilgit Baltistan may see partly cloudy skies during the evening and night.
The department advises residents to prepare for the warming trend as the continental air persists.
