There is a risk of damage to weak infrastructure due to thunderstorms and hailstorms in multiple areas of the country from Saturday night until April 20.

The Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Pothohar region.

On Sunday, heavy rain and hailstorms are expected in some parts of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The weather is expected to remain hot and dry in other parts of the country.

During the past 24 hours, rain with thunderstorms occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern and eastern Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The highest rainfall was recorded in Pattan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at 36 mm, while Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan received 41 mm of rain.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 45 degrees Celsius in Jacobabad. On Sunday, Islamabad and its surrounding areas may experience partly cloudy weather, along with thunderstorms and rain.

In most districts of Balochistan and Sindh, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry on Sunday, with the possibility of strong winds. Rain and hailstorms are expected in some places, including Murree, Galyat, and Rawalpindi in Punjab, along with strong winds.

In the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Kohistan, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and hailstorms. Heavy rain and hailstorms are also expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
